So I finally did it, I became a member for public media. While I would of rather given my money to WDUQ radio for all the NPR that I listen to. I never brought myself to pull the trigger.

But this morning I was flipping channels and saw Chef Kevin from Alchemy on a cooking show, it caught my attention and I watched him make jello noodles for his bison dish. That guy is nuts.

Then they announced the gift for the $100 membership level. It was 8 $25 coupons for some really good restaurants around town. It was just sweet enough to pull the trigger, and all the better, it didn't take money out of my donation to pay for the coupons, they were all donated by the restaurants.

• And two others that I didn't write down.

So now that I'm a member I'm going to have to keep an eye out so see when NOVA is showing something good. Or for the Rick Sebak documentaries.

If only WDUQ would of had something like this, they deserve my money more than WQED does.
