Homeless - In a good way

Hey kids, I've been meaning to write for a few days now, as I've finished fixin up the house and put it up for sale on Tuesday. The house looks pretty damn good if I do say so myself, and appearantly someone else thinks so too. This evening, Thursday evening, we agreed on a sale price for our house. The close date is April 14th, so now we just need to find a new house before we are homeless.

Happy New Year!

I'm a slacker, slacker, slacker, slacker, slacker. No excuses, let's see what has been going on. Craft Beer Radio started off gang busters and it is pretty popular, We have around 1600 listeners, and it does take a lot of time to prep, record, process, and post each show, but hey, no excuses.I've been taking classes in preperation for the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) Test. The test is coming up in a few weeks, I'm not too worried about the test, the main reason I took the classes was to learn more about beer so I could put on a better show.

Penn Brewfest Wrapup

Yesterday was the Pennsylvania Microbrewers Festival, held by Pennsylvania Brewing Company in Pittsburgh PA. It’s always a great event, this year there were 28 breweries attending. I was able to help out Scott Smith from East End Brewing Company, pouring samples and answering questions.

Some New Brewing Equipment

Last week I was told of a guy who was getting out of brewing and he was selling all of his old equipment. He had a lot of equipment and it was a lot of the things that I needed if I wanted to expand my brewing to all-grain and kegging. It was a great price and I just couldn’t pass it up. The brewing I had been doing in the past was extract brewing, that’s kind of like buying pie dough at the store and making a pie, with all grain brewing it would be like making the dough from scratch.
